Can glass pipes be repaired?
We can repair *MOST* bongs. If your bong has thermal decals or stickers affixed to it ,there is a chance they could burn off in the kiln during the repair process. If for some reason, your glass piece cracks or shatters when we are trying to fix it we will give you 50% of what you paid back in store credit.

Why do glass pipes break?
Extreme temperature changes has the ability to completely warm your pipe just like they can with most things. Heat expands and the cold contracts to become smaller. Both of these being done really quickly can shatter your glass pipe with ease.
Can you remelt broken glass?
Hold the broken edge of the glass pipe above the flame, then carefully lower the glass so that it’s inside the flame. Hold it there until you notice the glass begin to melt or bend. If necessary, heat the other piece of broken glass to smooth out any broken edges.
How do you repair glass?
- Step 1: Clean the area to be glued. The area to be repaired must be clean, dry and free from grease.
- Step 2: Apply Bostik Fix & Glue to the glass. Place a drop of glue on the broken part.
- Step 3: Press together.
- Step 4: Let the glue set.
- Step 5: The glass is fixed.
How do you break in a new glass pipe?
If it’s raw briar inside (a cheaper pipe, or a fancy handmade pipe), then start with 1/3 to 1/2 bowl for the first few times you smoke it. Don’t let it get too hot, and let it dry out well before each time you do smoke it (say, for 24 hours) and you should be fine. You’ll be slowly building up a cake.
How do you inhale a glass pipe?
Light up your freshly packed bowl while inhaling through the other end of the pipe, meaning the mouthpiece, at the same time. You should keep your thumb over it as you inhale to clear the pipe’s inner smoke chamber if your pipe has a carb. When you’re done inhaling, simply lift your thumb.
Can machines blown glass?
When it comes to similar methods, glass blowing is unique in its ability. Both machine blowing and hand blowing are considered some of the best options when manufacturing glass vessels. Virtually all other techniques of glass-making like core-forming were known in antiquity and are now long outdated.

Essentially, automated machines mass-produce glass weed pipes by applying heat to a tube of glass as it’s spun and maneuvered by another set of machines to create the desired shape and size.
How long do glass pipe last?
Ideally, a glass pipe will actually last forever. We know that this is possible, because we have found glass pipes dating back several centuries that were used for smoking, which are still usable to this day.
Will a bong break in the cold?
It might take quite a bit of temperature fluctuation, but glass (especially glass that isn’t scientific) can actually end up cracked if water left inside of it gets cold and expands too much.
