Freeforms are optical shapes or optical surfaces that are designed with little to no symmetry. Manufacturing a freeform is similar to that of a highly complex asphere; surface form and local slope change are all factors that influence the complexity of the shape and the manufacturing process used.

How do I update Zemax?
Manual update
- On the machine where the license is activated, open the Zemax License Manager (ZLM).
- For ZLMs released May 2019 or later, navigate to Manage Licenses.
- Locate the license that you received an update code for and press the Update button.
- Verify the updated license information.

Does zemax work on Mac?

What is Zemax file?

Where do I find my zemax activation code?
