Does PS3 play region free Blu Rays?

The PS3 is not region free. Most games do not implement regions though and some movies do not. PS3 isn’t region locked for PS3 games or blu-ray movies. It’s the discs that can be locked but most aren’t region locked anyway. Pengu1n posted… PS3 isn’t region locked for PS3 games or blu-ray movies.
Do all Blu rays work on the PS3?
As for blu rays there are only 3 region codes A, B and C and most of the ones have either no region coding or all 3 regions only a couple have onky region B on them. But all blu rays should work on PS3 right? A,B, & C? For Bluray games it depends on the handful that are region-locked. For Bluray MOVIES, you HAVE to check the region.
Can the PS3 play PAL DVDs?
With DVDs, it can only play discs that are NTSC encoded if your PS3 comes from a country that is primarily NTSC. If you try to play anything that is PAL encoded, it will bring up an error that says something like “The PAL format is not compatible with this Playstation 3”.
