Is Race for Life just for breast cancer?

The money raises funds for cancer research in all 200 types of cancer. The Race for Life series of events is open to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds take part in the Race for Life, and with more than 150 Race for Life 5k events across the United Kingdom. The event was previously restricted to women only.

Do you get a medal for Race for Life?

Each nickel plated medal features the iconic Race for Life 2020 branding with a high shine polished finish. The medals are available free of charge but during the checkout process you will have the opportunity to make a donation if you wish to do so.

Can I do Race for Life with my dog?

We allow participants to take part with their dogs at some of our events. You can check this under ‘Facilities’ on your event page. However, we would ask that you be a responsible dog owner when bringing your pet to a the Race for Life event, and make sure you bring water to keep your pet hydrated.

Can men do the muddy Race for Life?

Do you have to wear pink for Race for Life?

Can you wear headphones during Race for Life?

We know how important this can be to some participants and are happy for you to wear headphones during the event to allow you listen to iPods, MP3 players or similar music systems. However for health and safety reasons you must still be able to hear and be aware of what is happening around you.

Can you take your dog on Race for Life?

Is Race for Life chip timed?

Yes the event will be chip timed. For the full and half marathon event you will receive your chip already attached to the back of your running number – you do not need to do anything.
