What does RL mean on RockShox?
RockShox Recon The Recon Gold RL is the more advanced fork, coming in 27.5″ and 29″ versions. It uses the Motion Control damper with rebound and compression damping adjustment, and the steel 32mm upper legs are black anodised.
Are RockShox Recon RL any good?
Recon is a reliable, but chunky thing. If you can get up to Reba level it’s a lighter, better fork.
Are RockShox Recon good?
The Rockshox Recon combines trail performance and affordability giving riders a bombproof fork that is reliable and strong. Offering 100mm of travel, the Recon Silver RL is perfect for anyone looking to upgrade their stock suspension. In this review, two of our customers did just that.
When will the RCT3 RC be available?
The RC will become available after market in 2015. Loco’s mentioned there’#s some difference in the upper assembly of the damper, (aside from the adjustments) so the RCT3 is slightly better. Not a big compomise for the money, though.
Should I get the RCT3 or the RLT?
RCT3 is a really bit of kit, easy to do meaningful setup work with but also really transparent and easy to understand the changes. Haven’t used RLT. Thanks for info. I’m thinking the RLT would be a good compromise given the relative costs. It works when the compression (lockout) dial is anywhere but fully open.
Is the 2015 Whyte G150 RC a RCT3?
Presumably if true the 2015 rc just has 3 fixed modes and no adjustment to the level of compression in open mode (otherwise if it did it’d effectively be an rct3). Anyone else got the 2015’s and care to confirm? I have the 650b RCs on a 2015 Whyte G150S, and they have the LSC dial without the preset Lock/Pedal/Open switch on the top.
Where can I find a good deal on RockShox?
Deals on rockshox are pretty common so unless you’re in a hurry, wait for a good deal from Planet X, Merlin etc. The RLs I’ve got in the post have the MC DNA damper.
