Is BT YouView humax?
BT’s YouView+ box is made by Humax, well-known for its Freeview and Freesat set-top boxes. It has the easy-to-use YouView interface, but in a much smaller, faster, quieter package than its predecessor.
Can I use my BT Vision box as a Freeview box?
It will work as a normal YouView box, without the BT content. You can record FreeView as normal.

I have very little knowledge so apologies if I post irrelevant information. Youview Humax Box is about eight years old. Have had problems now and again with picture jumping on certain channels, put it down to weather and high pressure, however has always been okay on BBC channels.
