How much money do you get after basic training?
Service members usually hold this rank through basic training, and automatically promote to the next rank after six months of service. Rounded to the nearest dollar, base pay (salary) starts at $1,554 per month at this rank. After four months of service, pay will increase to $1,681 per month.

How many hours do the military work?
Work hours Occasionally work weekends. You are on call 24 hours, 7 days a week. Full-time jobs are usually 35-50 hours per week.
How long can I stay in the Army?
Keeping the above in mind, the Army offers active duty (full-time) enlistment periods from two years to five years (only certain jobs are available for two and three-year enlistees).
How much money can you save in the army?
A junior person with a short time on active duty might be able to get out with $20,000 – $30,000 in the bank; while someone who makes rank quickly, gets bonuses and extra pay for hazardous duty or combat, and who stays in for many years might be able to save up $50,000 or more.
Do you get days off in Army basic training?
Once you get to your job location, it’s usually Monday through Friday 9-5, (6am physical training). Weekends off. Frequent exceptions, as you will always be a soldier 24/7, and missions, training, and tasks may spend your time for you.
Can you save money in the Army?
It’s often overlooked but a hidden way to save money on investing when you’re in the military is through the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). The TSP is the government’s version of a 401(K), which is a way to save for your own retirement. The money savings comes from the extremely lost cost of the TSP’s expenses.
How does a soldier help us?
People in the army are called soldiers. Soldiers do many things, from shooting enemies, to digging defensive trenches. They are used to defend their country, or attack another country’s army. It is difficult, and soldiers must be in good shape, both physically and mentally.
Do you get free time in the army?
If you stay regular Army, its a lot. 30 days of paid vacation a year, numerous 4 day weekends. Depending on your MOS (job), you could be on a shift so the hours would be different but it would still be a 12 hour work day. Normally you’d have weekends off.
