Are Lauf Forks worth it?
In our opinion, the 30mm travel of the of the Lauf Grit reduces fatigue on long gravel roads with sweeping turns or on cyclocross courses with hard, bumpy sections. The progressive travel in the fork increases bike control and reduces fatigue and seems worth the extra pound of bike weight.
What is Lauf fork?
Lauf Grit fork is not a common suspension fork. It uses a glass fiber springs that are mounted to the carbon legs of the fork. Those springs react to bumps allowing up to 30 mm of vertical movement which should make riding on a bumpy road much more tolerable.

How does the Lefty fork work?
A Lefty moves on thin strips of needle bearings that are placed on each flat side of the inner tube. Conventional forks with round tubes move on bushings, which are essentially plastic rings. Bushings have more “stiction,” or static friction that needs to be overcome before the fork moves into its travel.

What makes the Lauf grit SL different from other forks?
The stiction and high unsprung weight of conventional suspension forks make them unable to keep up with high-speed input as brilliantly as the Lauf Grit SL. The Grit SL has 30mm of travel with progressive spring rate. This means that the further the fork compresses the springs become stiffer.
