How do you use Neilmed Nasakleen?
Add a few drops of saline into the nostrils before aspirating if the mucus in the baby’s nose is particularly dry or sticky. Repeat one to four times per day, as needed. We recommend that the nose be cleaned upon awakening, before bed and prior to eating.
Do you put water in nasal aspirator?
Fill the aspirator with some of it and shake the water around to clean up the mucus still inside, before squeezing the water out again. Repeat several times, then repeat it once more with clean cold water to remove any soapy residue. Always clean the aspirator after it’s been used.
How do nasal aspirators work?
An aspirator uses a flexible tube that is placed in your baby’s nostril while you suck on the other end of the tube. The mucus is caught in a disposable filter or a piece of tissue, depending on the model.
Can you use nasal aspirator in mouth?
You can use the bulb syringe to clear his/her mouth and nose to help him/her. Always suction the mouth before the nose if you need to clear both areas. You can buy a bulb syringe that has a bulb that opens for better cleaning and drying.
How do you disinfect Nose Frida?
We recommend that you clean your NoseFrida by washing the hard blue tube, filter cap and red mouthpiece with warm soap & water and cleaning the long thin tube with a few drops of rubbing alcohol. You may place all parts in the dishwasher or sanitizer EXCEPT for the long thin tube and the sponge filters.
How do I get rid of catarrh in my baby’s throat?
Wipe away extra mucus with a soft cloth or a tissue. Use a sterilized rubber bulb to gently suction out extra mucus (more on this below). Use a saline spray to help loosen dried snot and clear it out of the nostrils. Use a cool-mist humidifier in baby’s room to keep the air moist.
How do you get mucus out of your lungs?
Taking the following actions can help to eliminate excess mucus and phlegm:
- Keeping the air moist.
- Drinking plenty of fluids.
- Applying a warm, wet washcloth to the face.
- Keeping the head elevated.
- Not suppressing a cough.

Can you use neilmed with nasaflo?
IMPORTANT : NeilMed ® Sinus Rinse ™ Mixture Packets should be used with NeilMed ® 240 mL (8 fl oz) NasaFlo ® to achieve the best results. You may use NeilMed ® packets with other irrigation devices, as long as you mix with the correct volume of water.
How do you use neilmed sinus rinse ™?
Cut the Sinus Rinse ™ mixture packet at the corner and pour its contents into the bottle. Tighten the cap and tube on the bottle securely. Place one finger over the tip of the cap and shake the bottle gently to dissolve the mixture. Always rinse your nasal passages with NeilMed® SINUS RINSE® packets only.
Can I use neilmed® packets with other irrigation devices?
You may use NeilMed ® packets with other irrigation devices, as long as you mix with the correct volume of water. Our recommendation is to replace Neti Pot every three months.
How should I store my neilmed ® products?
When permissible use a microwave periodically to disinfect devices. Always store NeilMed ® products in a cool and dry place with adequate ventilation. NasaDOCK ® or NasaDOCK plus ™ offer a simple hygienic way to air dry & neatly store the bottle, cap, tube and NasaFlo. Do not store the bottle with the cap screwed on, unless both are dry.
