CIEE will place you in one of 48 continental states or Alaska. Your placement will be based on host family and school availability.
How long has CIEE been around?
To fulfill that need, CIEE (or the Council on Student Travel, as it was then known) was founded in 1947 and, in its first year of operation, attracted the participation of 32 member organizations.
Do you have to pay for Greenheart Travel?
Somebody has to pay for your expenses. Almost every Greenheart Travel program has a program fee, and while we do try to keep them as cheap as possible (we are a 501c(3) non-profit!) there are some costs associated with running a program when it does not have any direct external funding.

Does CIEE teach abroad offer programs in China?
CIEE Teach Abroad continues to offer programs in China, South Korea, Spain, and Thailand. What is it like to go to CIEE orientation?
The orientation give the opportunity to settle in and meet friends that will be located around the country. CIEE also gives so much in country support which can be very helpful if anything comes up. They were very helpful and made the process more easy then trying to do it alone.
