Is Panasonic still making Blu-Ray players?
We asked LG about its commitment to UHD Blu-ray at CES 2020. The answer we got is that there is nothing new to announce. New UHD Blu-ray players from Panasonic or other brands may very well be coming later in 2020, but it is clear that disc players are no longer products for the mainstream.
Is uhd better than Blu-ray?
A 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc has a much higher capacity than a standard Blu-ray disc which allows it to store a movie with Ultra HD resolution. Normal Blu-ray discs look great, but the maximum resolution is 1920 X 1080. A 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc has a resolution of 3840 X 2160. That’s 4 times the amount of pixels.
Is Panasonic 4K player good?
This Panasonic 4K player represents great value for money. Feature-wise, it’s a little sparse, but it’s the performance that matters, and on that front it delivers. It can provide 7.1 surround sound (using a supported system), and the audio is nicely detailed, with an impressive sense of scale.
Can a Blu-Ray player play 4K UHD?
4K and standard streaming options available. Upgrading to an Ultra HD Blu-ray player lets you enjoy movies in UHD quality, but you can still watch standard Blu-ray Discs, 3D Blu-ray, DVDs and CDs. When connected to an HDTV, an Ultra HD Blu-ray player will output a standard HDTV signal.
Can I play 4K UHD on Blu-ray?
Yes, Ultra HD Blu-ray players are fully backwards-compatible with existing Blu-rays. Ultra HD Blu-ray discs won’t play on old players, though, and you can’t upgrade old decks, so you will need a 4K Blu-ray player in order to play 4K Blu-ray discs.
Can you play 4K Ultra HD on Blu-Ray player?
You need an Ultra HD Blu-ray player to play Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. If you put an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc in your current (non-Ultra HD) Blu-ray player, it won’t work.
