Can I return library books to any branch Los Angeles?
Items checked out from any Los Angeles Public Library may be returned to any of its 72 branches or to the Central Library. Items may be returned in person or through a bookdrop.

Library cards automatically renew on their due date, so long as there is recent activity on your account. Just be sure to borrow either a physical loan or one of our digital items (like an e-book from Overdrive) before your library card’s expiration date.
What is the difference between LA County Library and LA Public Library?
LA County Library serves the surrounding regions to the city of Los Angeles, not be confused with the Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL) which serves areas within the city of Los Angeles.
