Nowadays, Crayola makes crayons that are twistable, erasable and washable.
Are Crayola Twistables toxic?
Crayola products are certified non-toxic. Crayola art materials also carry the statement “Conforms to ASTM D-4236” to show we conform to these standards as well. The Mini Twistables contain colorants that may stain, and are not in our washable line.

What are twistable crayons made of?
Classic Crayola Twistables are highly pigmented wax-based cores surrounded by plastic. The plastic barrel twists to reveal more color as the core wears down, similar to how a lipstick tube works.
How do you remove twistable crayons from the wall?
Wipe all stains with a damp sponge. If any stain remains, apply Soft Scrub with a damp sponge, work in a circular motion and rinse. If the stain persists, saturate a cotton ball with nail polish remover, blot the remaining stain and rinse.
