Unfortunately we do not currently offer an installation service on any of our product ranges. Luckily all of our products have been designed with the DIY market in mind. You don’t have to be an expert DIY-er to build our garden buildings as we will provide you with comprehensive instructions and online resources.

A storm bar is a long baton of wood which is fixed externally to the 4 corners of the log cabin. It is bolted to the cabin at the top and bottom. At the bottom there is a large oval slot for the bolt to go through.

How do you insulate a log cabin roof?

How to insulate a log cabin roof

  1. Opt for tongue and groove roof cladding for a tight seal.
  2. Lay a vapour barrier.
  3. Create a roof batten frame to hold insulation in place.
  4. Cut and fit insulation boards.
  5. Seal gaps with insulation tape.
  6. Place and fix roof cladding over insulation boards.

How long does it take to erect a log cabin?

You will tend to find that smaller Log Cabins (2 people to install) will take approximately 2-4 hours and larger Log Cabins (2 people to install) will take approx 3-5 hours.

How do you install a cabin floor?

Installation Advice:

  1. Floors in log cabins should be laid as a floating floor with a 5mm – 10mm gap all the way around the perimeter.
  2. Floor boards should be as tight together as possible.
  3. If available a Flooring Pull Bar helps to make the joints tight.
  4. Nail two nails in each board where it crosses the joists.
