It does need to be plugged in. The batteries are just for a back-up power for the clock.
How do you connect to a iHome Speaker?
Pairing your iHome Speaker with an Android Device Go to Settings –>> Go to Connections –>> Press Bluetooth to turn on. Go back to your Android device and you should now see iDM12 on the screen. Press it to pair. If you are asked for a password, enter 1234.
Is iHome part of Apple?
No – iHome products are manufactured (or at least marketed) by iHome, not Apple. That’s not to say that they aren’t compatible with Apple products.
How do you use the iHome charger?
Connect the standard USB plug end of the cable to a power USB port on a computer, a USB AC adaptor or other USB charging device. For first time use, charge unit for about 4 hours. The status indicator LED on top of the unit turns solid red while charging and turns off once unit is fully charged.
How do you use the iHome wireless charger?
Charge wirelessly
- Connect your charger to power.
- Place the charger on a level surface or other location recommended by the manufacturer.
- Place your iPhone on the charger with the display facing up.
- Your iPhone should start charging a few seconds after you place it on your wireless charger.
Why does my iHome speaker not work?
Resetting the Unit If the unit is “frozen” or locks up, you may wish to reset it. To do so, turn the unit ON and press the end of paperclip or similar into the reset port on the back of the unit for less than 2 seconds to reset it without clearing Bluetooth settings. The unit will reset and power back on.
Why is my iHome Bluetooth speaker so quiet?
If you are playing music over bluetooth and the volume on the iHome is very low or inaudible, first check that the volume is not set to a low value on your device or on the iHome. If it is not, disconnect your device from the iHome. Delete any connection settings related to the iHome on the device.
