Is D5 All-Clad worth it?
After much research I decided on the All Clad D5 range and although they are expensive, these pans are well worth it. I am convinced food tastes better cooked in these pans, due to the construction, they heat the food evenly with no hotspots, when the food is served up it is piping hot.

Do all-clad D5 handles get hot?
No. The handles are cast stainless steel which does not conduct or distribute heat. The shape of the handle and the stainless rivets also contribute to a safe grip and to keeping the handle cool on top of the stove. In the oven or broiler the handles will get hot so keep pot holders handy.
What is the difference between all-clad and stainless steel?
All-Clad’s cookware is non-toxic and free of PFOA (polytetrafluoroethylene acid). Aluminum will tarnish and leave a metallic taste in food. Cast iron will rust with if soaked in water. Stainless steel is non-reactive, which makes for a superior cooking surface.
Does food stick to all-clad?
The food might stick for a moment, but then your food will create a sear and release itself from the pan. You just need to be patient. 90% of the time, simply using a non-abrasive sponge to clean your pan with soap and water is all you will need.
Can I use Bon Ami on All-Clad?

Nylon scrubbing pads can be used on the interiors of All-Clad products. Use a sponge on exterior surfaces that are highly polished, specifically stainless.
