Is ESPN streaming worth it?
If you don’t have a cable subscription and want to watch some live sports without paying for one of the more expensive live TV services, ESPN+ is a solid bet. It doesn’t provide any live coverage of NBA or NFL games, but you can watch some NHL and MLB games, lots of soccer, and an impressive amount of college sports.

On July 1, 2019, ESPN officially discontinued the WatchESPN app and branding, redirecting users to the ESPN app (which had been updated in 2015 to add integrated streaming functionality) and ESPN.com streaming.
What quality is ESPN+?
ESPN Plus streams looked pretty good on my screens. The quality tops out at 720p HD — not mind-blowing stuff, but probably a necessary concession to the demands of streaming live events smoothly.
How good is Hulu?
Hulu continues to offer both a strong on-demand streaming library and a robust live TV option. The service is an excellent option for watching popular TV shows and we like its broad platform support, even if Hulu’s original series are hit-or-miss.
Why is ESPN Plus so blurry?
The blurring/muting is required to honor the digital rights ESPN has been granted for the content which – in rare cases – differs from those rights granted for traditional television usage.
Can I record ESPN+?
ESPN+ technically doesn’t offer DVR, so you won’t be able to record live games. But you can watch on-demand programming whenever you’d like. ESPN Plus allows you to stream on up to 3 devices at once. The exception here is for PPV events, where you can only stream on 2 devices at a time.
What replaced WatchESPN?
Hulu Live is the best alternative. And if you just want ESPN, Sling TV is the cheapest option at $35.
Is WatchESPN the same as ESPN+?

Is ESPN Plus worth it? For UFC and European soccer fans, the answer is a resounding yes. You’ll not only enjoy plenty of live matches and PPV events but you’ll also have access to exclusive behind-the-scenes content.
