Is Kalona milk raw?
Is your milk raw? No. In most states it is illegal to sell raw milk. However, our milk is pasteurized using a low temperature process called Batch (VAT) Pasteurization allowing us to keep it as fresh as possible.

Is Kalona milk ultra pasteurized?
The goal of using UP or UHT pasteurization is to extend the shelf life and create a shelf-stable product. None of Kalona SuperNatural products are pasteurized using UHT or UP.
Is Kalona milk grass-fed?
Our two whole milk varieties, plain and vanilla, are certified 100% grass-fed by the American Grassfed Association (AGA). The AGA certification guarantees that the milk used to make our 100% grass-fed products come from cows that are pasture-grazed, with no use of grains or grain products.

Ultra-pasteurized milk lasts three times longer than HTST processed milk because the higher temperature not only kills the usual suspects like E. Coli and salmonella, but UHT kills all other non-pathogenic bacteria that can cause spoilage, too.
