The ELDAs organise children’s development and learning opportunities to help adults to organise the activities with babies, toddlers and young children. Each of the ELDAs is closely related to the Desired Results identified in the NELDS.

Should we be understanding the Eldas and the EYFS?
It should be clear that if one has an understanding of the ELDAs (from a statutory point of view), AS WELL AS of the EYFS (from a best practice point of view), one should be able to ensure the best of both worlds for our children! At the end of the day, however, both approaches emphasize that the child will mostly be taught through games and play.
