How much does Guitar Center pay for used gear? The first step is approval – the store manager or sales-associate will evaluate your gear and check the quality. Once approved, Guitar Center will offer 50% to 60% of the market price of what you brought in.

You can either sell your gear for cash or trade it for something new at their store. As far as selling for cash goes, Guitar Center can give up to $1,000 for your used gear. If it’s worth more than that, then you can get the rest of the value in trade value at their store.

Are Guitar Centers open for in store shopping?
Does anyone know if Guitar Centers are open for in store shopping? I called two GC’s but no answer so not even sure how the curbside pickup would work if no one is there. Yes they are, I am waiting in line at the Hollywood location. They are limiting the amount of customers that are in store at one time. But they are open for in store shopping.
