- Enter Sd, Bl and Re.
- Enter either Qms or Rms, whichever is available, generally Qms is available.
- If Mms and/or Cms were not provided for input, now input Qes.
- Enter Hc, Hg and Pe if available.
- Enter the number of voice coils.
What is quasi Butterworth?
The quasi-Butterworth alignments do not have as well-defined of an algorithm when compared to the Butterworth alignment. The name “quasi-Butterworth” comes from the fact that the transfer functions for these responses appear similar to the Butterworth ones, with (in general) the addition of terms in the denominator.

Fs. This parameter is the free-air resonant frequency of a speaker. Simply stated, it is the point at which the weight of the moving parts of the speaker becomes balanced with the force of the speaker suspension when in motion.
Are bass reflex speakers better?
Bass reflex speakers are more efficient and usually will have a flatter bass response than a sealed system. But the bass response will rapidly fall at a certain point whereas a sealed system will still have some response at that same point.
What is speaker tuning frequency?
The tuning frequency (Fb) is the resonant frequency of the enclosure. It alone doesn’t define how low the speaker will play. Depending on the driver specs and cabinet size Fb can be even an octave lower than F3.
