How do you get to Ribbon Falls Kananaskis?
Finding the trailhead Go south on Highway 40 for 22.8 km and turn right (west) onto Mt Allan Drive. Continue for 850 m. Take your first left onto Centennial Drive. Drive 250 m and turn right onto Ribbon Creek Road (you’ll pass the Kananaskis Hostel) and continue to the large parking lot.

Why is trolls closed?
The trail to the Troll Falls upper falls can be closed in winter due to unsafe conditions – watch for signs at the trailhead. This leg ends with another bridge across Marmot Creek back to the main Troll Falls trail.

Lillian Lake is a very popular day hike in the Kananaskis area of the Rocky Mountains. The trailhead is only about 70-75 minutes from Calgary. The trailhead is just off Highway 40, about 33 km south of the Trans-Canada Highway. It’s on the west side of the highway and is signed Galatea Lakes.
How do you get to Edworthy Falls?
Go straight (north) on Big Elbow Trail for 2.4 km.
- You will travel on a wide horse/bike trail (old logging road) through forest, bushes, and meadow, watched over all the while by Tombstone Mountain on your left.
- Disregard the small rock cairn that leads into the meadow.

Where do you park for Bill Milne trail?
The Bill Milne paved pathway goes from the Ribbon Creek parking area (near hostel) to the Wedge pond parking area. It’s an easy ride with about 130 meters elevation ( up hill in direction from Ribbon creek to Wedge pond).
