What is a G/B chord?
The G/B chord is a slash chord or slashed chord, also called a compound chord. A slash chord is a chord whose bass note or inversion is indicated by the addition of a slash and the letter of the bass after the root note letter.
What is the difference between G/B and G/D?
G/B and G/D are the first and second inversions of the G major. This means that the bass tone is shifting from G to B or D. Both these chords are also referred to as slash chords. Both chords consist of the notes G, B, D. The difference is that the order of notes shifts.
