Why has Lurpak butter changed?
Billy HillLurpak The only recent change we’ve made is to remove some of the additional colourings (beta carotene) previously added to give the butter a yellow-ish colour. This is to keep the ingredients as natural as possible and is the reason it may seem paler than before.

Can you use Lurpak softest for baking?
What we’ve also discovered is that a little oil in the butter is good for the cake and keeping it moist. These so-called spreadable butters do, however, vary and we have found Lurpak is the best because it has the highest butter content, and because it has the least additives it is the purest.
Can you fry with Lurpak?
Light Blend 40% (21% milk fat & 19% rapeseed oil). Not suitable for freezing or frying.
Why is Lurpak butter white?
Lactic butter has a lactic culture, which gives it its unique taste, and it’s much paler in colour. You need to look for Lurpak or President. And colour is nothing to do with cows being kept indoors!

Is Lurpak baking spread?
Lurpak’s Baking Spread has been specially produced so that it delivers a soft texture, folds into cake mixtures very easily and is ready use straight from the fridge. That sounds all good to me.
Can you cook steak in Lurpak?
Season your steak with salt and freshly ground black pepper and then place the steak into the piping hot pan and cook for 4 minutes on the first side. Now turn your steak and add the 30g of butter, 1 crushed garlic clove and sprig of thyme.
